This short tutorial provides screenshot examples with brief "step-by-step" instructions that show how to use the hIOmon "Automated Monitoring Configuration Setup Script" to easily and quickly configure the hIOmon software to collect and export file (and associated device) I/O operation performance metrics upon a "summary" (i.e., aggregated) basis for those specific files and associated devices of particular interest to you.

Automated Configuration Setup Script for Device/File I/O Operation Performance Metrics

The hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor software package includes a "hIOmon Automated Monitoring Configuration Setup Script".

This VBScript can be used to quickly and easily configure the hIOmon software to collect and export a set of file (and associated device) I/O operation performance metrics upon a "summary" (i.e., aggregated) basis for those particular files (and associated devices) of interest to you.

This short tutorial provides a quick demonstration of how to use the configuration script to quickly configure the hIOmon software to collect and export the "Summary" I/O operation performance metrics for specific files and their associated devices.  Note that you can optionally request that "Physical Device Extended Metrics" (which include "split I/O" operations, such as those associated with fragmented files) also be collected for the associated physical disks.
