The following help information provides simple "Quick Start" instructions that show you how to quickly get started using the hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor. |

Please refer to the hIOmon User Guide document for a full explanation of the Quick Start steps listed below (along with detailed descriptions of the various displays, control commands and other facilities supported by the hIOmon software). Also see the online tutorials in the "Tutorials" section below. For a brief "big picture" overview of hIOmon, please see the hIOmon "Big Picture" page and the "Major How-To's" chapter within the hIOmon User Guide document. Also refer to the hIOmon "Best Practices" page for the latest information. Step-by-step help information is provided for "Quick Start" using the following hIOmon display/control interfaces:
The hIOmon "Device and File I/O Performance Analysis Add-On", the hIOmon "Process I/O Performance Analysis Add-On", the hIOmon "SSD I/O Performance Analysis Add-On", the hIOmon "Fragmented File I/O Operation Metrics Analysis Add-On", and the hIOmon "Intel® NAS Performance Toolkit (NASPT) Support Add-On" can be used with the hIOmon "Automated Monitoring Configuration Setup Script" during the installation of the hIOmon software. These hIOmon Add-Ons enable you to easily and quickly configure the hIOmon software to collect for export a particular set of file and device I/O operation performance metrics; they can also be used in conjunction with the hIOmon "Add-On Support for IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring". Please refer to the "hIOmon Add-On User Guide" document and the "hIOmon Add-Ons" description page for more information about these hIOmon Add-Ons. |
