Automated Configuration Setup Script for SSD I/O Performance Metrics

The hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor software package includes a "hIOmon Automated Monitoring Configuration Setup Script".

This VBScript can be used to quickly and easily configure the hIOmon software to collect and export (to a CSV-format "hIOmon Manager Export File") a comprehensive set of summary I/O operation metrics that reflect not only the actual usage of SSD-related TRIM commands but also actual read and write I/O operation activity for those specific physical devices and Logical Disks of particular interest to you.

This short tutorial provides a brief demonstration of how to use the configuration script to quickly configure the hIOmon software to collect and export "Device Summary" I/O operation performance metrics (including various “Manage Data Set Attributes (MDSA)” operation performance metrics, such as those pertaining to the “TRIM” action request) that can be captured by hIOmon during the normal, everyday use of your computer system.

Please see the "hIOmon Add-On User Guide" document and the "hIOmon Add-Ons" description page for more information about the hIOmon Add-Ons, including the "SSD I/O Performance Metrics Analysis Add-On".
